For this exceptional performance, three leading figures of DJ culture come together for a one-of-a-kind set: Ugly Mac Beer, DJ Stresh, and Aleqs Notal join forces behind the decks for a three-way DJ set conceived as a true sonic dialogue.
Blending scratching, pure technique, and sharp selections, the artists respond to and challenge one another, building a live performance that is both instinctive and controlled. Hip-hop, electronic music, and underground influences intertwine in a dynamic exchange where every transition becomes a statement.

Ugly Mac Beer
Ugly Mac Beer began his career in the late 1990s as the DJ for the group La Formule, alongside Wax Tailor. In the early 2000s, eager to develop his own projects, he launched his solo career.
He quickly established himself as a key figure in the French turntablism and scratch music scene, both as an artist and as a prolific independent producer through his label Beatsqueeze Records.
In the mid-2000s, he started collaborating with digger/beatmaker Mister Modo. From this creative chemistry emerged a series of projects featuring numerous international collaborations with major names such as MF Grimm, Kool Keith, Psycho Les (Beatnuts), Guilty Simpson, Mike Ladd, El Da Sensei, and DJ D-Styles.
In 2009, the release of the album Modonut received strong media exposure and reached a wider audience. The track “Not Afraid” (ft. Jessica Fitoussi), with its 70s soul influences, enjoyed significant radio play and international airplay. The duo’s second album, Modonut 2, released in 2012, produced the hip-hop banger “Diggin in the Crates” (ft. F. Stokes), widely acclaimed by DJs across Europe and North America.
Increasingly sought after for advertising and film sync work, Ugly Mac Beer developed a passion for audiovisual creation. Inspired by television, pop culture, cinema, and music in all its forms, he now works as a full-time composer for visual media.
His love for turntablism remains undiminished, as he continues to expand his vinyl collection and develop new projects. In 2023, he returned with a new solo album, The Valley of the Kings, an instrumental concept album rooted in abstract hip-hop, conceived as the soundtrack to a retro-futuristic film.
In 2024, he unveiled his new project Broken Ill, blending US hip-hop influences with UK sounds, spanning synth-punk, post-punk, electro-punk, and new wave. Venturing into more rock-oriented productions, Ugly Mac Beer proves he is far more than an exceptional beatmaker, showcasing his versatility and ability to innovate beyond his core domain.

Aleqs Notal
French DJ and electronic music producer Aleqs Notal has been shaping the underground scene since the early 2000s.
Driven by a rich and vibrant musical heritage, he has devoted himself to refining a sound that embodies this vision with precision and depth. Inspired by the early days of house and techno in Detroit, Chicago, and New York, his sonic universe reflects a fascination with sharp percussions and timeless atmospheres.
Having started DJing in 1999, Notal built his reputation patiently, showcasing his talent in turntablism competitions and producing for international labels. In 2020, he launched his own label, I.L. Recordings, further cementing his place in the global underground electronic music scene.
His musical journey is marked by a constant drive for exploration, from his raw, deep, and lunar sound on ClekClekBoom Recordings to a soul-infused EP on Patrice Scott’s Detroit-based label Sistrum. His international recognition grew with Paris Lagos Soundscapes, recorded in Nigeria, as well as Big Tal’s Elements on Benji B’s UK-based One Level label, confirming his presence on the global stage.
Alongside renowned artists such as Larry Heard, Mike Huckaby, and Chez Damier, Notal has gained visibility both in Parisian clubs and on international stages, from Fabric in London to Opium in Vilnius, and iconic Berlin venues like Tresor, Panorama Bar, and Heidegluehen.
With releases on labels such as Forbidden Dance, Visions, and Salon Recordings in Los Angeles, he continues to push boundaries, captivating audiences with flawless technique behind the decks and deep, raw, and funk-infused sounds.

DJ Stresh

Passionate about hip-hop culture, he has built a wide range of collaborations and productions with artists from both the French and international scenes, including Youssoupha, Ali, Benjamin Epps, Akhenaton, Kev Brown, Varnish La Piscine, and Rocé.
His remixes have been played by some of the biggest names, including DJ Jazzy Jeff, Questlove, and Chris Villa.
In 2016, he reached a major milestone by winning the title of French Champion at the Red Bull 3Style Battle and becoming Vice Champion of France at the DMC Championships.
